Gary,
How much, and how freely, should the cylinder be able to move? I could
not push out either side (driver's or passenger's) with my fingers and
had to use a plastic mallet to free them up. Yes, there was a burr on
the one that I was having trouble with, though I had to use a vise to
get the cylinders to load on the slides evenly.
Also, how much is too much in squeezing them back on the slides? It
seems, that if they are not pressed on enough, loading a new inner pad
could be pretty difficult.
