[Peugeot-L] Renault 2.1L 4cyl. Turbo Diesel

Here is an interesting discussion at biodiesel.infopop.cc http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/584104603/m/1521048841 This poster says,"I'm heading up to Oregon to pick it up tomorrow and will be driving it back down to SoCal over the next few days. If any of you have any experience with the Renault engines used in these vehicles, I'd love to get your advice on any peculiarities to watch out for as I rack up the miles."
Then he goes on to say, " It is definitely a Renault.

Renault 2.1L 4cyl. Turbo Diesel - 85 hp @ 3750 rpm, 132 ft lb @ 2750 rpm - used in 85-87"
What do you know about this?
Is this the same engine Peugeot used back then? Brian Rodgers
