French cars seem well liked in the UK, based on what I saw on UK roads on hte three day trip last week. Pass. Vans, wagons, sedans, cargo/work vans, hatchbacks, by the three major French car makers are ubiquitious.
renault clio, saxo, megane, and some nice looking newer models
peugeot 106, 206, 306, 307, 406, 407, 806
and various sleek design Citroen vans and pass,. cars whose model name I cannot recall...
were the more popular models.
Other eye catching cars I saw:
Ford, KA (including the endearing convertible model)
newest Honda civic
latest Euro Golf TDI
the boxy peugeot Partner
Lastly, the vehicles there seemed so much more compact, practical and just smartly designed as compared to vehicles on US roads. I wonder how safe they are in crashes...??

Jeep had the Renault diesel engine in their cherokee and pioneer from 1985
to 1987, the forest service here in Arizona used a lot of them. Renault is a
big producer of diesel's, remember they own Mack Truck.
