Whether the car is assembled in the UK or elsewhere is no excuse for
a lack of reliability and for poor engineering and design. The 807
came last on the UK Top Gear reliability survey (the 307 comes second
to last) and it is not assembled in Britain.
It's ironic that you should mention Toyota. The most reliable
Peugeot will be the cheapest Peugeot - the 107...I'd bet the farm on
that. Its mechanicals and electrics were designed by Toyota and it is
assembled according to Toyota assembly and quality control
standards. I think Peugeot has lost the plot...it's cars (with a
couple of exceptions) aren't even fun to drive anymore.
