I'm selling my 1984 STI 5 spd daily driver in order to concentrate on
my 87. Price is $500 OBO. It has about 170K but odometer says something
different. Car shifts beautifully and sails along on the highway. Gets
22-24 mpg. Only body rust is on rocker panels. Seats (from an 87) are
beautiful, with just one seam on driver's seat needing restitching.
Drove it back and forth from DC to New York State several times this
summer.

I'm the second owner and have all service records. The car spent most
of its life in Atlanta, but a few years in Connecticut gave it some
rust under the car. Tires are good. Two spares. After market Aiwa
radio/cassette. Sunroof, power windows, power locks all work.
Here are the known issues: Engine gaskets will soon need replacing, as
car is noisy when cold (it's not the exhaust train). Car runs hot; temp
light may come on in slow traffic. May be fan clutch. AC compressor has
been removed. Clutch, though fairly new, can be balky and occasionally
shudders. Fuel pump and accumulator are new, but warm starts sometimes
require 5 secs of cranking. I don't know why. Cold starts are fine.
Headliner has some stains but is sound. About 10 years ago, the car was
repainted dark blue and still shines. There are a few chipped or peeled
spots that have been touched up.
