Re: [Peugeot-L] zf transmissions 4 speed

Excuse me but:

All the RWD Peugeot transmissions have a threaded hole in the output shaft, to bolt on a u joint except for maybe the BA10/5 which never was in a SW. But all the various ZF3hp's the ZF4hps and all the 4 spd standards and the BA7/5 have the hole. The GM automatic in the 604 V6 gas I don't know about as I was never fortunate enough to be in there.

Generally the difference between the sedan and wagon transmissions for   the same motor in a 504 or 505 would be that the wagon has the universal   joint bolted into the back of the transmission, so the tailshaft has a   threaded hole in it. The sedan doesn't have the threaded hole. So you   can use a wagon trans in a sedan, but you would have to drill and tap   the sedan trans tailshaft to use it in a wagon.   There is a model code on the side of the transmission that may enable a   transmission shop to give you more information
