I just got a similar vinyl repair kit at a NAPA auto parts dealer here in
Seattle. NAPA should be able to ship you one easily at reasonable cost if
you don't have local access. I blended a color easily and fixed a 3 inch
tear in my leather driver's seat. The little heat tool they give you is
feeble and I did not use it.-a household iron works very well. Test the heat
setting on an unobtrusive area first-you need to massage the vinyl paste
through the graining paper for a good minute or two, so make it a long test.
Hope this helps,
mikey

Subject: [Peugeot-L] 405 door interior panel
Except when I'm in heavy traffic, I seem to drive with my left elbow on the
door sill. Last week I noticed I was getting a tiny pain in my elbow when
driving in that position, and yesterday I noticed there's a small crack in
the panel material where my elbow usually rests. It's less than an inch
long, but it's going to drive me nuts because the rest of the interior is in
such nice shape - I can't have a crack in the door panel.
Has anyone had any experience repairing whatever material the door panel is
made of? I think I have a vinyl repair kit in the garage (from 20 years
ago), but it's probably dried up by now. Any suggestions?
