[Peugeot-L] Paintwork problems

my 307 zest is now 4 months old (probably nearer 16 months since is was made and left in a field)

bird droppings have etched into the laquer after only a couple of days and now i find that bugs have etched into the back of the door mirrors

no problems with the paint on my old 405 after 10 years so is this now normal with modern 307's/peugeots?
