I can only relate my experience. I bought a 504D
that had been sitting in a field under pine trees for
two years. I proceeded to attack years of sap with
a bug&tar remover. It barely worked, and when my arms
were about to fall off, I searched my garage for alternatives.
I came across STP Grease Eater that had been laying
around unused in years. It cut through years of sap
like a hot knife through butter.
Yes it worked great, but remember, I was dealing
with a 27 year old abandoned vehicle. I certainly would
been more cautious about attacking a new car with
alternative products.

Unfortunately, I have the same problem with my 106 Rallye. You have to
clean bird droppings, pine resin, bugs, etc. as soon as they land on the
paint. Many friends have the same problems with post-1995 Peugeots.

bird droppings have etched into the laquer after only a couple of days
and now i find that bugs have etched into the back of the door mirrors
no problems with the paint on my old 405 after 10 years so is this now
normal with modern 307's/peugeots?
