Ken, make sure everything is clean; and make sure you
have the junction where the flexible line screws into
the steel line pulled up all the way into the hole so
that the groove is completely unblocked. On most of
those strut brackets, the hole is a hex shape so that
you have to orient that fitting a certain way. Then
you
start the clip in the slot squarely and evenly, and
then I just bop it real good with the handle of a
fairly big beat-up screwdriver; but you could use a
hammer or anything good for tapping it till it's home.
You have to make sure it's fairly straight and you
start it squarely, and it usually won't give you any
problems.
