Hi John,
If they re-gring the cam properly there is no valve lift loss at all - they simply make the cam's base circle smaller so that they can keep the lift stock.
There has to be significant room on the stock CAM since guys are getting stock cams reground to the Danielson high performance spec. (Increased lift and different duration)
http://www.shadboltcams.com/ I spoke to the owner and he seemed like he really knew his stuff. I checked around and found it to be a good company that definitely knew what they were doing. If you go this route anyway - it might be worth while for them to make some adjustments. I wouldn't go to the full Danielson spec - but they might be able to suggest a nice combination that would make the engine more responsive/efficient.

My cam looks like hell, to replace it would be nice. I could get it
sent out to be ground, but I will loose some lift. Does anyone out
there have a never ground not worn cam they'd like to part with?
