I don't know about other years but,the 86 and 89 505 turbos have the
fuel tank behind the seat and the tanks have both supply and return
lines.
I recently looked at a Peugeot diesel with a 3 speed ZF automatic.
The bellhousing had a different location for bolts to the engine than
the gas 4 cylinder engines.
Maybe you could swap bellhousings.Interesting project,please keep us
informed.
