The engine has to be cold, not running minimum 6hrs. Peugeot calls no1
cylinder the one closest to flywheel, you can use either end, just remember
which end you started at. #1 exhaust valve open, adjust #3 intake and #4
exhaust, rotate engine untill # 3 exhaust valve is open, adjust #4 intake
and #2 exhaust, rotate engine untill #4 exhaust is open, adjust #2 intake
and #1 exhaust, rotate until #2 exhaust is open, adjust #1 intake and # 3
exhaust. This is the most precise way of adjusting valves on any engine, by
following the firing order. I've never had any luck getting it right with
adjusting the two revolution method. By memory, intake valves are .006" and
exhaust are .010" inch. Always double check after adjusting.
