wow, the car sounds great as far as the previous owner and condition..

i'd really suggest making sure the detonation light *IS* in fact working. there are a few codes that are likely being thrown which will retard the timing a lot. i forget the exact value, but some of the more serious codes retard the timing to a point where the car almost wont accelerate at all (going up a slight hill is totally out of the question).

if the overboost switch was kicking in early (which i doubt) it would be very erratic and undriveable above that level of boost. but it sounds like it still runs, but just doesn't pull, right?

i'd think its something ignition related, but i'm not sure.. when you are above 3k rpm and you roll on the throttle does it feel like its running out of gas (literally), or does it feel like it keeps running but just looses lots of power.

anyone else have any ideas?
