[Peugeot-L] '91 N9TEA Ignition Questions

Hello,
I had about four incidents several weeks ago during which the engine would stop running/the tachometer showed not rpm's and after which I had a loud backfire. I have since found and changed the bad components which apparently caused the problem, but now I am wondering if anything could have been damaged. Thanks for any tips.
