[Peugeot-L] N9TEA Smoke on Start-Up

Hello,
I've noticed more than a few times lately that, when hot, the car smoked on start-up. I had the engine rebuilt last year, so I dreaded thinking it was valve guide oil seals. Today I started it up and went back and smelled. Excess gas.
I did use a container of Techron injector cleaner a while ago (post hoc ergo propter hoc + fallacy). I am thinking a bad injector, since the car cranks longer than I'd like to start. Is there a diaphragm in the pressure regulator which can tear? I see no vacuum line going to it. Any other possibilities which could be easily checked? Thank you.
