[Peugeot-L] To buy or not to buy?

I'm considering buying an 85 Turbo Diesel 505 STI. 91,000 miles. Owner says his mom only used it to drive to church and is in excellent shape save the Onfuel pump diaphram which is currently being replaced.... I love the look of this car, and love that it's diesel. What is the history with these cars? Are they reliable or will it be a pain in the butt? I'm not exactly mechanically inclined either?
