Yeah, that laugh bears some serious discussion. Is he laughing with you or
at you, because he recalls his Peugeot work fondly or with derision!!? WIll
he welcome the work, or will this be an expensivce favor he does for you as
long as he can stand it!?

mecahanic. Go see him! Tell him you are the "friend" after all, and ask him
how much a month his expereince with Peugeots suggests you should set aside
for him to work on the car. You might even have him and the car interview
each other to see whether they will be likely to get along together with
your financial participation in their relationship. You want the car and the
mechanic to like each other well enough that they get along when there is
need, but not so well that the car wants to spend all its time in the shop!!
