DAIKIN USED TO MAKE AN AFTERMARKET UNIT SPECIFICALLY FOR THE 504. IT FITS RIGHT IN AND EVEN THE CONTROLS MATCH THE 504 DASH. A FRIEND OF MINE HAS ONE IN HIS 1980 XN1 504. HIS FATHER INSTALLED IT WHEN HE BOUGHT IT NEW, AND IT STILL WORKS GREAT.   THANOS   -----Original Message-----

Subject: [Peugeot-L] Putting A/C in a '79 Peugeot 504

All:

Having donated my Peugeot 505 STX to charity about a year ago, it's time to traumatize myself with another Peugeot. This time I want something with less electrical stuff to go wrong and no frigging ABS. There's a 504 diesel for sale on Ebay. Dubarr Automotive is selling it. Looks good, but trouble is it has no A/C and I live in Casa Grande Arizona, which is the hottest place in the US, seriously. This means that I could probably drive my Peugeot in February. So, my question is, how expensive and/or difficult it to be to put A/C in a 504 that did not come with factory A/C, and where would I get the parts?

Thanks,

Hugo
