Out of curiosity, has anyone looked into adapting an electrically-driven
A/C unit for their car? Lots of late-model minivans (I'm thinking
specifically of the Chevy Astro and Chrysler Voyager) had electric A/C
units in the rear roof which ran independently of the main A/C. It
would probably mean upgrading alternators (as well as recasing the units
to make them look at home in the Pug), but sounds a lot more appealing
than adding in all the wiring, plumbing, etc. And not being
Onbelt-driven off of the engine, you can save a few ponies...
