Subject: [Peugeot-L] getting the N9TE running

I got the head back from the shop, and now I'm ready to start reinstalling. I need answers from the experienced..

Firstly, I am missing one of the flame rings that goes between the ex manifold and the head, how important is this part? Whoever put it together last left it out!

>>>>>Must have. Its also a good idea to have the ex manifold checked for flatness and trued at the machine shop

I'm also a bit confused with the start procedure. Do you intstall the rocker cover in between retorqing the head, or can it be left off?

>>>>>>>>> The rocker shafts ( with cover) and cam have to be fully installed.

LAstly, I'm trying to decide whether to install the head with the ex man and turbo attached, or bolt up the head and then install the ex man and turbo....I had a hell of a time getting the head out with the turbo still on it. Bloody heavy!

>>>>>Yeah no kidding( leave it off).....BUT be sure to mount the thermostat housing to the head beforehand ....the lower bolt is impossible ( ask me):^)) Also be sure you have the centering rings on the head. Cheers
