Try and get a hose in the area where the pipes all come together and stick the other end to your ear with the engine running First you have to pull the ex pipe off the manifold. The 2 sleeves that the 8 tubes go into appear as a horizontal rib inside of the outlet. They will be open rather than a finished welded seam. Maybe shine a light at the tubes from above. I think my brain is going ...it is tough to describe this so it is clear Bob

PS If this is it take the manifold off and to a guy with a tig welder I had a rough time trying to seal mine up with an oxy-acete torch

  I'll have it looked at this morning...it's a CA/FL car   and as such, I'm hoping it's not the corrosion   issue...
