Thanks for the mail. Actually, the German lady bought it off a French lady from the French Embassy in Delhi!! (you know... all these ladies!!..) So it was actually an import from France.. The engine definitely does not have fuel injection.. I could clearly see the distributor and coil system, at one end of the camshaft and the wires coming off it and disappearing somewhere down under.. Therefore, I don't know again what it is.. I have time, so I would look up the car again next time and take some photographs. Also, I will ask the owner if she has a factory manual with the car (which I doubt).
