Chrysler and Maserati collaborated on a model in the eighties - the
Chrysler Maserati TC, but at no time was it owned by Chrysler. No
Italian make has had Chrysler power either - Iso and Bizzarrini used
Chev and Ford units respectively. Maserati have also always used their
own engines. In the late sixties and seventies, Citroen owned Maserati,
and it then passed on to De Tomaso. It is presently part of the Ferrari
group, having been bought by Fiat fairly recently. The Italian marque
that /was/ Chrysler-owned is Lamborghini.
