Re: [Peugeot-L] zf transmissions 4 speed

I stated that the 604 GM aka Borg Warner automatics from the V6 604 probably wouldn't have the hole in the output shaft. And I've never seen nor heard of a Borg Warner in a 504 it is probably the same as the 604 V6 and came in a V6 504 of some sort like a Coupe.

Maybe I should rephrase it like all 404, 504 and 505 automatic transmissions except the 504/604 V6 gas automatics have the threaded hole in the output shaft

Excuse me but I went back and checked a couple of transmissions that   were lying around, because I was sure that I had come across   transmissions that did not have the threaded hole.

  I found:

  • a 4spd manual that had a threaded hole
  • a 3 spd 3HP22 from a 505 sedan with a threaded hole
  • a 3 spd borg warner auto from a 504 without a threaded hole
  • a 3 spd auto from a 604 without a threaded hole.

So I got a 50/50 threaded to unthreaded ratio.   Kevin
