Hey all,
I just had front brake calipers and brake lines
replaced on my '89 Mi16 (which in turn killed the 18
yr old brake master cylinder, which also got replaced)
and my mechanic showed me what looked to me like a
serious case of terminal undercarriage rust.
Thankfully, much of it was very superficial, and they
scraped the entire undercarriage, including the frame,
and coated everything in a rubberizing and rust
inhibiting spray protectant. The stuff did a nice
job...
I was amazed that evening when I drove the car how
much quieter it was...even the 60-70mph engine drone
seemed to lessen.
Just thought I'd mention it as something that seems to
provide a double benefit to our aging (and not exactly
sound proofed) Peugeots.
Best,
Paul Hughes
