My '85 505(XN6)developed a problem that has me somewhat baffled, when I
start it up first thing in the morning it idles rough for a few seconds
then dies, start it up and it will stay running but if I give it any
gas it will immedietly die. If I let it warm up on it's own for say 5
minutes it's fine and will rev when I give it gas. While it's warming
up it will run and drive fine under load, after it reaches opperating
temp. it will lose power and not want to go, it will backfire through
the aircleaner occasionaly too.
I really don't know what could be causing this, perhaps the air/fuel
mixture needs to be adjusted? Dirty injectors? Any thoughts on this
would be great because I really miss driving it.
Thanks, Chip
