[Peugeot-L] 505 turbo won't crank

There is no power to the signal wire at the solenoid when the key is turned. I've eliminate by simple replacement: the ecu, the ignition switch. I've replaced the ignition relay and cleaned contacts but I'm not positive that the relay was good or that the contacts are ok. I've had many problems in this area. In looking at the engine manual, I couldn't tell for sure which wires at the relay are supposed to be hot when the ignition is turned and which one is ground. I haven't checked the diode.

So my questions are: are there grounds that I should check, safety switch, ?. Thanks in advance. Rulon
