[Peugeot-L] Re: 505 turbo won't crank

The starter contacts are a weak point on the 505s. One way around it is to simply install a big red button on the dash, connected to a relay which in turn bridges the starter terminals. [You use a relay so that you don't feed major power through the firewall to the dashboard.] It's easy to do, and works like a charm. The only downside is that this bypasses the neutral safety switch; the car will start even if it's in gear (even for an automatic!). But it's dead-simple reliable.
