Hi August,
I still have the chance to serve with the original pan-gasket from NOS
because they still come with Simca-parts from the Chrysler 160/180/2
Litres btw. Talbot Tagora.
The Murena-gasket could be an alternative but it´s called up for 78,80 €
at most suppliers over here and it is not really suitable for the
metal-pan of the 505 N9t because it is very thinn and normally thought
for the alloy-pan of the Murena 2.2. I have them in rubber-quality for
70,- € but at least these gaskets are "pearls thrown to the pigs" we
say: They are reinforced with metal-plates because the Murena with
9N2/9N4-engine has the engine-support right down at the oil-pan. So all
the weight of the engine-block lays on the oil-pan. If you use a normal
505 N9T-gasket it normally lasts less than some days that the pan is
leaking.
Cheers
Jürgen

give Jesse at Dubarr a call (in huntington beach, CA). They have the
bottom end gasket sets available (**NON OEM**). The aftermarket pan
gaskets are thinner then the OEM ones, and made of a slightly different
cork material, but the OEM ones are definitely NFP.
You also might be able to source one from EU by looking for pan gaskets
for a matra murena with a 2.2 litre engine. I will probably go this
route the next time i need one.
let us know how it goes.
