        I have no idea what a 505 SD is, but if it has a setup similar to the 505 GL or STI I would suspect a cracked release fork. They often crack right where the ball (the ball bolted to the bell housing) pivots on the fork. This, in the SD, a model that I don't know, may not be the case.
