[Peugeot-L] 1984 peugeot 505TD

The Injection Pump on my 84 Diesel was leaking from everywhere.. I had a 604 engine with an injection pump which looked exactly the same.. We installed it in the 505, but it won't start.. It acts as if it is out of timing.. We believe we properly installed the gear in the engine receptacle.(We couldn't have gotten it a few tooths out of phase, because of the dimensions}..

Can anyone help me on this?
