OnI've been working on using another ECU on my 505 Turbo (gas) project and it occured to me that if you could put the TDi injection system and ECU onto the Pug Diesels you'd likely have a VERY potent engine with even better economy...
I personally have NO personal knowledge of the TDi system, but I do know they are very tuneable and I know the Euro version engine is actually 2.5L...
If you could swap the electronics, sensors, fuel rail etc to the Pug, it would modernize the car well into the future... :)
Can any of the diesel experts comment if this is even possible?
(I have an 83 504 wagon that was a diesel - if this is possible then I'd keep it diesel and try the TDi upgrade. If not then It'll likely become a gas XN6 car.)
