[Peugeot-L] 405 Mi16 died while driving on highway. Need advice

My 89 405 Mi16 just died while I was going 60 mph on the highway. I tried putting it in 3 rd gear and letting it start itself but no good. I tried restarting it with the starting motor and it almost seems like it'll run a little but still dies. It normally starts very quickly. I did notice a little missing over the past few days but nothing continuous.

I have plenty of fuel and the plugs, rotor, dist cap & wires have just been changed.

I am guessing either fuel pump or ignition coil.

What other parts might have failed ?

Thanks.

Jim
