Todd,
The best thing you can buy is the front suspension bushing kit: 3599.02
It costs about 120-130 Euros. The replacement of 35 year old bushings
will be the one thing you can do to make it drive like a new car, or
even better than most.
You might also want to get a shock absorber rebuild kit for the front.
Other items will be dependent upon the car you have and what parts
might be a little shaky. Most mechanical parts are not a problem to
get. If the car has rust, look to pick up new body panels.
