My 1982 505 TD has developed a bad oil leak. I had a truck wash clean it off
so I could see the leak (If you are about to do undercar work spend $5-10
and go to a truck wash, they have awesome cleaners / sprayers, makes the job
much cleaner)
I ended up putting on a new pan gasket, it wasnt the problem (but even after
a major cleaning it sure looked it) It looks like its coming down by the
rear seal, but since this is a "extended skirt" block like the old Ford 292s
its hard to tell since the crank is sitting up a little higher in the block.
Does this sound right ? Is the rear seal hard to replace ? I have no problem
pulling the engine again.
