Hello all:
I was showing "Pennie" (my 89 405s) to a prospective buyer. As we were driving, he pushed the button for "Cruise Control" on the left side of the dash. Now, it wont go off. I'm not sure if that is a major problem or not, but I thought if I asked the experts on this list, we could get some peace of mind.
We stopped the car, pumped the break, revved the engine, turned the car off and on, and still the button/light stays on when the car is running (it does go off when the engine is turned off). I thought it was like the other toggle buttons on the dash (like the rear defroster and the hazard light), but it does nothing when we push it.
Any suggestions as to why this is doing this and how to fix it?

PS - If this guy does not buy Pennie, it is still for sale for $750 US.
