The reason there are few Peugeots in Eastern Canada is because they rusted away from the winter salt on the road. In British Columbia especially the dry belt southern interior there are many good examples including 504's, 505's and 405's of which I have examples of all there. I photographed John Coltman's 504 V6 conversion yesterday (ask for photos, I will send to you) while he was at my house to look at the relatively rust free 504 I've had parked in my yard for 12 years. He needs a new body to transplant the PRV V6 into and I have perhaps the only candidate available. There is 50,000 kilometres (30,000 miles) on the odometer and the seats look like it. The car suffered vandalism of 3 side windows and the windshield but the body and the interior are in great shape. I was going to transplant an XD2S into her but after the vandalism I lost momentum. I will keep my '75 504D for sentimental reasons (my very first 504 purchased in 1980). I also have A 1980 505 with an XD3T and a 1991 Mi 16 with 91,000 km (56,000 miles) in pristine condition. I see 505's on a regular basis and the occasional 405.
