84 604TD for sale. Located in central CT. Burgundy with tan leather.
146,000 miles. Purchased new by my father's employer in early 1985 for use
as his company car. Always dealer maintained. Driven daily until late 1986
when it was involved in a front end collision, it had 36,000 miles on it at
that time. Repairs were made and he purchased from the company. From 1987
on it was used only during summers and garaged during the winter. He
stopped driving it in 2002 when it had about 138,000 miles. I became the
owner and have put on 8,000 during the last two summers. Nice looking,
riding, and driving 604. Just had dealer, Reynolds Garage (no relation) go
over car prior to winter storage. Runs well, 32 miles per gallon, starts
well, body was undercoated when new, body has no rust except for the rear of
the two front fenders(fenders were probably not undercoated when replaced
after the accident). Interior looks good, no tears but stitching is coming
apart on front seat leather in a few spots which is common, power windows
and sunroof work, dash is nice (1 crack), carpeting good, headliner perfect,
has 15inch wheels, good rubber, paint good except original clear coat
oxidizing on truck lid. Have original radio but not installed at present.
Everything works including cold AC and cruise control. Blinkers work but do
not recycle, you have to turn off by hand. Windshield has a scuff mark where
wiper blade metal rubbed against window. Contact me off list for more
details. Nice, solid, reliable 146,000 mile car. I took on (3) 600 mile
trips this summer with no problems. Stop by and drive it home. I have
most if not all service records from new.
Comes with a 1982 TD parts car. Purchased used and driven as a winter car
by my father for 2/3 years then developed electrical problems. Ran and
drove well when parked 15 years ago. Body amazingly good, nice parts car
for mechanical and body parts. Cloth interior N/G.
Also comes with 3 big boxes of NOS parts. Lots of oil filters, fuel
filters, glow plugs, 1 air filter, brake pads and parts etc. Mostly
everyday maintenance items. You could probably drive the 1984 to 200,000
miles without spending a nickel on filters etc. Some OEM weather-stripping
which I believe is 604 but not certain. Price $1750.00 for all. Contact me
