[Peugeot-L] Power Steering Pump 87 STI V6

OnHello.........

I have a question : If you run a power steering pump out of fluid because of the high pressure hose leaks and drive the car a 100miles or more,

will you burn out the pump. I am under the impression that this will happen with any car.

If so,can the pump be rebuilt ?

What actually happens to the pump ?
