Re: [Peugeot-L] 1992 Peugeot 505 DL wagon - timing belt "Zowee!"

Remove the valve cover, you will most likely find that the valve adjustment has gone haywire which means bent valves and since the belt broke at high revolutions, most likely all eight are bent. On most interference engines, a timing belt that breaks at high revolutions also means piston damage although not likely on this model. The good news is that parts are relatively cheap for this engine.
