Jon,
Try running a clear hose from the filter to the injection
pump. There should be no bubbles in it below 1500 rpm. If there
are, it is sucking air. Look carefully near the inside bottom of the
filter cannister for a pinhole in the side. If the steel line
fittings to the filter head are attached with compression fittings
instead of banjo fittings, they are notorious leakers. You might
have to switch to banjo fitting lines if you can't straighten them
up. To rule out the diaphragm seal, wrap the top of the primer in
several layers of saran wrap secured tightly with rubber bands or string.
