We don't have the 1.6 here in Canada. The 1.9 has a habit of plugging up the PCV system in cold weather as too much fresh air gets into the system, creates condensation, then you get this nice creamy stuff plugging up everything causing the oil to either be burned up or pushed out of the engine. My cure for it has been to remove the cold air snorkel from the air filter in the winter and let it breathe from the engine compartment, no more plugged PCV system and no more plugged air filters with snow. ----- Original Message -----
