Im doing machine work on a 1981 XD2S head have some questions
- Is there a minimum amont I can remove from the head before you run into
piston/valve clearance issues (some diesels have this issue, VW 1600s,
International 6.9s are tight)
- Where can I get Valveguide inserts ?
- Whats the minimum valve stem diameter ?
- Should I replace the headbolts ? (are they torque to yields ? or is it
good practice to replace them anyway )
Im not to familiar with Peugeot diesels so Im trying to gather all info. Im
milling the head regardless, on aluminum heads, they always have surface
issues/irregularities that can liik good but have some "wave" to em.
