I would recommend a degree of patience when working with old leather.
The first time I used it on my 505 seats I was amazed at what "bubbled" to
the surface. (The 505 seat heaters definitely help it soak in)
Much like doctors, you have to swear to find products that will do no harm
in the pursuit of repair. Leatherique is such a product.
Forget Lexol, and even Connolly's Hide Food, Leatherique is the one.
They also sell dyes for re-dying old leather.
