When I did rebuilds I usually used STP in the oil pumps. I just
figured that I didn't need to do this on this one. As for removing
the timing chain and spinning the distributor drive, I would much
rather remove the small oil pan and get to the pump directly.
Might there be any other tricks that anyone out there could
recommend before I pull the pan.
