That someone would be me. Since my last demented effort to bid on a
504 for sale in New Zealand, I have resisted the temptation to bid on
another Peugeot (or any other car)that resides in the Shaky Isles.
Actually, I really don't need a car for travels in NZ. When I'm there,
a friend lends me his Citroen Xantia (a HDI diesel model that gets 45
mpg) or his 2CV (50 mpg). And another friend lends me his 306 diesel
(55 mpg)
What would like to buy in NZ, when I move back there to live, is a
relatively newish French car (a Peugeot or Citroen diesel) and a
postwar Wolseley (lovely old English cars). When I was a teenager I had
a 1957 Wolseley 4/44 and I've always wanted to own another one - either
a 6/80, a 4/44, or a 6/110. Funnily when I was in NZ last time, I saw a
Peugeot with a My Other Car is a Wolseley bumper sticker.
