OnProblem with that is most Mistu stores are lesser brands rarely seen as stand-alone dealerships. Ex: John Smith's Dodge/Chrysler, Kia and Mitsubishi. This is the same way Peugeot screwed the pooch the first time around. You'll never compete against the good iron; BMW, M-B, Audi like that. They'd be lucky to compete with Saab/Volvo.

The way I see doing it is to demand stand-alone stores or high-end stores (like Ferrari, Lotus, etc.). Pick 18 or so major metro markets.

The last thing you need are salesmen upselling Kia owners to Citroen or Peugeot owners to Chrysler 300s.

PSA products need to be positioned as mainline cars. Sell Citroen up high and Peugeot a step below. But not bracketed by Domestic and Korean brands.

Tricky business. They probably don't have the stomach for a lot of trial and error. A hundred ways to fail and only a few to succeed. Taking on current Mitsu dealers is a bad move. Their distribution/parts network, yes. But Mitsubishi got sideways in part because of it's positioning. You don't see Nissans, Hondas, Mazdas or Toyotas sold that way.

Right, and the 4007 is unbelievably ugly, at least the nose is......the Citroën C-Crosser is far, FAR better-looking.

I have been thinking that Peugeot/Citroën-Mitsubishi dealerships would be a decent idea in North America, a cheap way for PSA to get back in the market.
