$500 is very OK.
In Germany, a "Note 5" (major restoration needed) 504 C of that age
sells for 1400 Euros. That's about $2000 US.
At the other end of the scale, a "Note 1" 4 cylinder 504 Coupé is
valued at 17,700 Euros ($26,000 US). Not quite as high as a 404 Coupé
Injection though, which tops out at 18,900 Euros ($28,000 US).....and
in worst condition comes in at 1500 Euros.
The difference _almost_ makes them worth restoring now!
