I wished the same 5 speed wish for years and finally bought a used 5spd from a low-mileage 82 505 and installed it. If I remember correctly everything, except for the clutch slave, went quite easily. When I bought the used transmission I took the slave and its rubber hose with it. I had to drill a hole and bolt (I think) the retainer clip to the underside of my car near the slave, but that is all I remember having to alter. You should be able to get a used 5 spd. at a wrecker for 100-125 if you pull it yourself. Ken
